Writers' House buys previously unpublished Galaktion Tabidze materials for GEL 78,000
The Writers' House of Georgia says on the state procurement website that it will buy unpublished Galaktion Tabidze materials for GEL 78,000 from Giorgi Tabidze, the grandson of the poet's brother. They include a 1907 sketchbook with Tabidze's portraits of writers and public figures (Ilia Chavchavadze, Lermontov, Dickens, Darwin and others), an essay on art and poetic form, notes, poems, a long poem and autographs. The Writers' House says the materials add new information for research on the poet's early work.
