Kos: no majority among the 27 EU states for sanctions on Georgian Dream leaders
EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos told the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee on 5 November that there is no majority among the 27 member states for sanctions on Bidzina Ivanishvili, Irakli Kobakhidze, Shalva Papuashvili and others, and that the Commission cannot impose sanctions on its own. She was answering a question from MEP Krzysztof Brejza. A day earlier, Kaja Kallas said EU foreign ministers would discuss Georgia in January.
