Mtkvarze leaves its home of 14 years — the club plans a new space
Mtkvarze, one of the landmarks of Tbilisi's electronic music scene, is leaving its venue after the building was sold. In an Instagram statement the team said the sale came as a surprise. A few farewell nights will be held in the old space, though no exact closing date has been announced. The club opened in 2012 in a former riverside restaurant. The team plans to carry on and create a new space for the city; the location and reopening date are not yet known.
The club announced the move on 22 October. Radio Electronauts and Mamuli.Media share the same founder.
