Competition agency finds Yandex Go violated consumer rights law
Georgia's Competition and Consumer Protection Agency says Yandex Go's operator, Raidtech Georgia LLC, broke consumer protection law: its contract shifted liability for trips onto drivers, let the company change terms unilaterally without notice, and gave incomplete information about the merchant and its contacts. The agency says Yandex Go is a transport service provider, not just an intermediary. The company has one month to fix the violations or face a fine of up to 2% of the previous year's turnover.
